Media blasting uses small particles of abrasive material (media) in a high-pressure stream to clean surfaces of debris, old paint, rust, etc. Media blasting is a perfect technique for projects that would be impossible or impractical with traditional sanding because they’re too large or have surfaces too difficult to reach by hand.
At Monarch, we use aluminum oxide in our media blasting —never sand! Why? Because using sand creates high temperatures and can warp surfaces. Aluminum oxide produces far less heat and dust, making it ideal for most types of media blasting.
Our professional team has years of experience in media blasting and can be trusted to deliver efficient, high-quality results every time!
RUST INHBITING ZINC ENRICHED PRIMER
Our Zinc Enriched Primer protects against rust and provides a base for other coatings and finishes. The zinc phosphate used in our primer is an inexpensive way to protect surfaces again corrosion.
How it works:
Zinc Enriched Primer is applied with a sprayer as a powder coat. Combined with our other services, it’s applied after media blasting and before powder coating with other finishes. The surface with the primer is partially cured or “green cured" in an oven. Then the top powder coating is applied, and the curing process is reactivated to create a layered coating that provides the best protection against corrosion.
